Lola is our sweet little female Beagle that would love to find a new home soon. She was picked up running loose by a nice couple and they held onto her in hopes of locating her owners. After 2 weeks, they brought her to us and she is up for adoption since no one ever came forward missing her. We believe Lola is 4-5 years old, and is very friendly and outgoing. She loves people of all ages, and wants nothing more than to spend time with our volunteers and staff. She has been well behaved around other dogs her own size, but she can be bratty with bigger dogs (perhaps because she is smaller, she feels the need to act tough). Lola also has been around our shelter cats and has ignored them and respected their space. Lola is a great little Beagle, but so far we have not found her a home that has enough experience with keeping a Beagle from running loose. She walks well on leash, and loves to go for walks/hikes with us. However, she is an escape artist on tie outs, and may also dig under fences. With Beagles, this is common, as they are very smart and will find a way to go investigate the interesting scents they pick up on. Lola is pleased with going to explore things on leash, and this is what she will need to keep her from running away. Lola is housebroken, crate-trained and well behaved indoors. We know there is the perfect person or family out there for her. All she needs now is a loving home! An approved adoption application is required to adopt a new pet from our shelter. Our application form is available on our main website. We accept completed forms via email, fax or postal mail. Once we receive an application for one of our shelter pets, we can begin the adoption process.
