Dilute Tortoiseshell - Love Bug - Medium - Adult - Female - Cat
Love Bug is our beautiful short haired Dilute Tortoiseshell cat that is hoping to find a new home soon. She was surrendered to us by her owner in August 2013. She is 3-4 years old, and has been an indoor only cat and also likes being an only pet. She has lived with children, but she avoided the younger children and put up with the older kids according to her former owner. Love Bug is playful and a good mouser, and is also independent and quiet/solitary. When she was surrendered, her owner told us it was because when they moved she started having accidents outside the litterbox. We tried to have them isolate her to a room or crate with a litterbox to train her back to using it, but they had already made the decision to turn her into us. She has been using her litter box here at our shelter without a problem. We believe it may have been stress related due to the strange new place she had moved to. Love Bug would be a good match for an adult only home that is looking for a cat that will be a nice quiet companion and lap cat. She can be particular about when she wants attention, but she has settled into the shelter environment pretty well. We just hope that someone out there sees this beautiful independent girl and wants to give her a loving home. Love Bug is already spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and will be microchipped prior to adoption as well.
