Tinsel is our fun little 1 year old, black and white, long haired female cat that has been waiting for a new home for a while. Her shelter story started back on December 23rd, 2013, when she was removed from an apartment where she had been left by her owner. She was very hungry and frantic for attention at that point, and she was happy to have someone taking care of her needs again. For months we waited for an outcome of the court case, and we never heard from the owner or a family member to give us any information about Tinsel. Finally, in May, we received a call from a family member of the owner stating that the case had been dismissed and that they did not want to claim the cat back. So after all that waiting, she was finally surrendered and able to be placed up for adoption. Tinsel is a very frisky little cat, and she likes to run around the shelter chasing toys and spends a lot of time climbing around on the cat trees on our enclosed cat porch. She is not a fan of other cats, and she usually tells them off when she gets irritated with their presence near her. We believe she has lived around a smaller dog and kids before, but we think she might be happiest as an only pet in a home without young children. Tinsel is so deserving of a second chance at a great life in a loving home. She has spent half her life waiting to go home...and we want her to find that special someone out there!
