J.B. had the unfortunate experience of being chased up a tree, and was unable to make his way down from his 35foot perch on the branches. Lucky for J.B., concerned neighbors reported him to our shelter after he had been stuck in the tree overnight. On 11/1/7/12 our Animal Control Officer was able to rescue him from the tree with the help of someone with a bucket lift. He was obviously cold, hungry and a bit flustered after that ordeal. The poor boy had a wound on his leg, so we believe he may have been bit by an animal and was able to escape by climbing the tree. J.B. is a young and playful cat. We believe he is 1-2 years old, and has a very outgoing personality. He loves to chase toys, play with the other cats, and explore around the shelter. He had a home (we know because he was wearing a flea collar when he was rescued), but no one ever called us to report him missing. We had the help of neighbors, so enough people were spreading the word about J.B. in the tree. He was probably allowed to be an indoor/outdoor cat, but that did not go very well for him. He would be much safer kept inside. We have had J.B. neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for Leukemia & FIV. He had minor surgery to stitch up the wound on his leg, and it has healed up nicely.
