Domestic Short Hair - Angel - Medium - Senior - Female - Cat
Angel is our sweet 10 year old kitty that was left abandoned on our porch overnight, and our staff found her the following morning. Attached to her carrier was a rabies certificate that gave us a little information, including someone's name and phone number. We called the person, and found out that she had given her 2 cats to someone a few months prior. She could not keep them, and so now we are searching for a new home for Angel. She had always lived with her brother cat, and they peacefully coexisted and shared nap spots, litterboxes and food. Here at the shelter she is tolerant of the other shelter cats that are mellow like her. She does get a bit irritated with the young and active cats that run around sometimes. Angel is also okay with our easy going office dog being her space. Angel would love a quiet home where she can be a lap cat. She is an independent kitty, but enjoys attention and gives us loving head butts. She had been around a young child, but did not like it when the child would try to pick her up or hug her. She used to be allowed outdoors, but here at the shelter she has no interest in sneaking out the doors. She does spend time on our enclosed cat porch when she wants to. Angel qualifies for our Free Seniors for Seniors pet adoption (adopters over 60 opting to adopt a pet over 7 years have all the adoption fees waived). She is already spayed, vaccinated and will be microchipped also. An approved adpotion application is required to adopt a pet from our shelter. Our application form is available on our website.
