Jaden is one of our handsome senior (7-8years old) Black cats. He was found living outdoors in Lake Placid, and brought to our shelter on 6/5/12. We believe he had a home, but had wandered too far away and could not find his way back. When he first arrived, Jaden was very nervous but quickly learned that the shelter staff only wanted to help take care of him, clean his house and give him yummy food and treats. It did not take him long to start roaming around like he owns the shelter (which he pretty much does). He likes to chase/pounce on toys, and one of his favorite spots to nap is on top of the warm dryer on a comfy cat bed or in the office chairs. Jaden does need to be an only pet, and be placed into an adult only home. He is definitely a tough guy, and will bully the other cats that are near him if he can get away with it. He sets the rules, but yet he can be a very sweet cat when he is one on one with people. We do think he would like to be an indoor/outdoor cat, and he enjoys spending time on our enclosed cat porch and sitting in windows watching birds. He can be cuddly when he wants to be, but he is an independent type cat that won't bother you too much for attention. If you are looking for a mature age cat that will keep you company and keep your house rodent free, then consider adopting Jaden. He is already neutered, vaccinated and will also be microchipped prior to adoption. He is one of our Seniors for Seniors adoptable animals, which means he is free to adopt if a senior citizen chooses to adopt a senior age pet.
