Domestic Short Hair - Gray and white - Chloe - Large - Senior
Chloe is our big beautiful 10 year old cat that is hoping to have someone come and take her home to be happy for the rest of her life. Her owner had to surrender one of her cats when she moved to a new apartment, and sadly turned Chloe into us on 1/5/13. We found out a short time later that her owner passed away, so there was no chance for Chloe to ever be reunited with her owner. Chloe is a sweet, friendly and easy going cat that has always been a cuddly couch potato. She also has always shared a home with another cat peacefully, so she would be fine living in a home with another cat. Chloe is not used to dogs, or younger children, but she has been friendly and happy with attention from our junior/adult volunteers and staff members. Unfortunately, Chloe arrived being very overweight. Her arrival weight was 22lbs, and we started her on a strict diet and started trying to get her move around. Since arriving, she is down to 18lbs and feeling much better. She still has a few more pounds to lose to be at a healthier weight, but we are very pleased with her weight loss so far. Chloe is spayed, vaccinated and ready to be adopted to a new home. She does qualify for our Seniors for Seniors adoption program (we waive all adoption fees for senior citizens over 60 that choose to adopt a pet over the age of 7 years). An approved adoption application is required to adopt an animal from our Humane Society. Our application form is available on our main website or by contacting us for a copy. We do accept completed forms via email, postal mail or at our office when you can come visit. We will begin the review process once an application is received.
